Janaina is passionate about leveraging research to improve the experiences of those using digital products and services. She is fascinated by human behaviors and contextual decision-making, which led her to study neuroscience in graduate school. Janaina is dedicated to advancing the UX community and has worked to establish educational programs for UXPA International. She has spent over a decade leading academic and industry research. She has worked in a wide variety of domains, including real estate, insurance, and e-commerce. Janaina received her PhD in neurobiology from Duke University and is currently a Sr. UX researcher at Google.
