Twisha Shah-Brandenburg

Staff Product Designer, Instacart

Twisha is an immigrant that moved to Chicago from her hometown Bombay (Mumbai), in India. In her current role, she works as a Staff Product Designer at Instacart, focusing on making experiences better for the shoppers who help create a world where everyone has access to the food they love and more time to enjoy it together.

Before this, she worked at Venmo as a product designer, where she led the launch of their redesign and their first credit card. Twisha has worked across several industries such as automobile, e-commerce, and retail and has played every role in design.

She likes shaping “how it could be” in the roles she takes on and thinks that designers have the power to make more equitable and inclusive solutions. Her joy comes from being an opportunity finder while connecting the dots between desirability, feasibility, and viability.

When not working, she raises her ferociously independent daughter with her husband Thomas and finds time to travel and make art. In addition, she is involved in many local organizations that include supporting and mentoring young people, especially those with immigrant backgrounds.
