George Zhang is the Senior Director of Research at Course Hero, an education technology unicorn, managing the UX research team and overseeing research projects with global students, educators, and tutors.

Prior to it, he had spent four years at Uber as a senior research manager, responsible for a big team and key product areas including drivers, vehicle solutions, new mobility, safety, trust, privacy, accessibility, customer support, quantitative research, as well as Uber’s internal tools. He also spent almost a decade at Google in crafting Google’s Web Search experience for worldwide users.

He obtained a PhD in industrial and organizational psychology in China, and had led research at Lenovo, Intel and Google China before moving to the United States in 2010.

He loves reading, hiking, traveling, advising, mentoring during his spare times. He looks forward to meeting you at the UXPA International conference this year!
